[ indeed, he is holding a little tray with cups and sugar and whatever else they might need ]
You've seemed stressed so I thought it might help.
[ Stressed is putting it mildly he thinks, not that most would be able to tell as much. He won't pry- partly because he thinks he knows and can't really do anything about the issue ]
I couldn't remember exactly what kind you like. Is chamomile okay?
[ It was... what he was given when he went to ask for tea. He didn't exactly trust himself to remember how to do it without making the tea nigh undrinkable ]
It's fine.
[ He enters the room, a little lost for what to do. He almost just sits right on the floor, but opts to sit the tray on the table first ]
There's a lot to adjust to. I'm not used to much of it yet either.
It is. I'm grateful for a period in an area that's genuinely completely safe. I feel wrong without my sword, but it's comforting that I don't truly need it. It feels like I can rest.
( she wanders to a small chest by the bed to pull out two cushions to sit on, and brings them to the table to lay them out on the floor. )
One of them seems to be fond of sparring and such. I find it hard to imagine she'd mind.
[ But then he only really had the Ubuyashiki's as reference and they were obviously more than fine with swords. He doesn't linger on the point, though. Whatever the case, he hadn't put his down, so it must not be an offense. ]
You're welcome...
[ Under normal circumstances he might tell her what he's remembered since they were too busy to get to that before, but that seems like too much to put on her when she's struggling. ]
I know you said you don't want to talk about it, but if I can do anything to help, I'm happy to, okay?

I appreciate it. It's been... an adjustment period. Forgive me if I'm not willing to elaborate further, though.
( she has a small table and the fluffiest looking bed. it's a lovely if not foreign room, and she's been converted to mattresses, honestly. )

I wasn't sure if I could trust it at first. But no one here seems to hold us any ill will.
Did you arrive without your sword?
[ He's not that surprised, if his hadn't been literally tied to his hand, he may not have had his either ]

You're such a good boy.
( she pulls him into a loose hug, her nose in his hair, sort of like a mother might. )
Your family must be proud of you.
